Help the historic Lake Court House Foundation get ready for summer by honoring a loved one with an engraved commemorative brick for the courthouse walk.
Commemorate important dates like graduations, weddings, anniversaries or other milestones. Bricks may also be purchased as memorial tributes for those who have passed.
Each brick has three lines with room for 13 characters or spaces on each line. Cost for each memorial brick is $100 and proceeds go to support the mission of the Lake Court House Foundation.
The foundation was started in 1978 to save the historic Lake County Courthouse from the wrecking ball, and preserve the 140-year-old building for future generations to enjoy. The historic Lake County Courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The historic Lake Court House receives no tax dollars and is supported through the generosity of the community and its business operations. For information or to purchase a commemorative brick, contact Nancy Guillemette at 219-663-0660.
