Maki Ballroom

History

  

The Lake Court House Foundation Inc., transformed the former Lake County Auditor's and Treasurer’s offices into the elegant Maki Ballroom in the 1980s. The ballroom was named in honor of Gunnar Maki for his many contributions to the restoration of the building.

  

The Maki Ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests and a head table, and features a grand piano, floor-to-ceiling windows, Romanesque columns and 19 chandeliers that create an elegant ambiance.
